Meters
Section titled “Meters”About Meters
Section titled “About Meters”The Meters module serves as a historical tracking tool used to record physical conditions or operational metrics over time. It allows maintenance teams to log continuous numerical data based on a specific unit of measurement (such as degrees Celsius, kilometers, or PSI).
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”A Meter creates a chronological data timeline for any monitored variable. As technicians perform routine checks, they log new numerical readings at different points in time.
Example:
You create a Meter to track the ambient temperature of a critical cold storage room.
- Monday: a technician logs a normal baseline reading of -18°C.
- Thursday: a routine check results in a new reading of -5°C.
By looking at this simple timeline, a manager can instantly spot the sudden rise in temperature and investigate the cooling system before inventory is ruined.
The Operational Value
Section titled “The Operational Value”By continuously adding new readings to a Meter, you build a precise, trackable history of the monitored condition. This empowers maintenance teams to:
- Monitor real-time operational metrics across the facility.
- Quickly identify abnormal trends, irregular spikes, or sudden drops in data that could indicate a developing operational problem.
