Section titled “System Safeguard – Strict Deletion Rules”

UniCMMS will block deletion if the inventory record:

  • Currently holds any stock, or
  • Has historical activity (past Stock Operations or Work Order consumption) linked to it.

You can only delete an empty record with no history.

danger: Non‑reversible cleanup Deleting an inventory record permanently removes it from dashboards and reports.
Always double‑check that you are deleting the correct, unused record.

  1. From the main sidebar, expand Parts & Supplies.
  2. Click Inventory.
  1. Find the specific inventory row you want to remove.
  2. Click the More (⋯) icon in the far‑right column.
  3. Select Delete (highlighted in red with a trash‑can icon).

If the record still contains stock or history, UniCMMS will show a blocking error instead of deleting.

If the record is eligible for deletion:

  1. A confirmation prompt appears.
  2. Verify the Part, Location, and bin details.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

The erroneous inventory record is permanently removed from the system.
