How to Add Inventory to a Cycle Count
Section titled “How to Add Inventory to a Cycle Count”After creating a Cycle Count, you must tell UniCMMS which inventory records should be audited.
info: Draft Lock Rule You can only add, modify, or delete items from the audit list while the Cycle Count is in Draft.
Once moved to Processing, the list is locked and every item must be counted.
Step 1 – Open the Draft Cycle Count
Section titled “Step 1 – Open the Draft Cycle Count”- From Parts & Supplies → Cycle Counts, ensure the record is in Draft status.
- Click on the Cycle Count to open its details.
Step 2 – Access Uncounted Inventories
Section titled “Step 2 – Access Uncounted Inventories”- In the left‑hand menu of the audit profile, click Uncounted Inventories.
Step 3 – Open the Addition Menu
Section titled “Step 3 – Open the Addition Menu”- Click the (+) Add button on the right side of the Uncounted Inventories section.
- The Add Inventories form appears.
Step 4 – Choose an Addition Method
Section titled “Step 4 – Choose an Addition Method”You have two ways to populate the audit list:
Method A – Custom (Manual Selection)
Section titled “Method A – Custom (Manual Selection)”Use this when you want to spot‑check a few specific items.
- Select the Custom tab.
- Click New Item.
- Search for and select the exact part from the dropdown.
- Repeat for each additional part you want to include.
- Click Submit.
Method B – Criteria (Automated Bulk Selection)
Section titled “Method B – Criteria (Automated Bulk Selection)”Use this when you want the system to pull in many items based on smart filters.

Option 1 – Include All Inventory
Check this box to include every inventory record assigned to the Cycle Count’s Location.
Ideal for full‑bin or full‑warehouse audits. -
Option 2 – Filter by Inventory Type
Choose a category (e.g.Spare Parts,Consumables).
UniCMMS scans the assigned location and adds only inventory records that match the selected type.
