How to Remove an Item from a Cycle Count
Section titled “How to Remove an Item from a Cycle Count”If you accidentally added the wrong part to a Cycle Count, you can remove it—as long as the audit has not started.
warning: Draft‑only changes You can only edit the item list while the Cycle Count is in Draft status.
Once it moves to Processing, the list is locked and every item must be counted.
Step 1 – Ensure Status is Draft
Section titled “Step 1 – Ensure Status is Draft”- From Parts & Supplies → Cycle Counts, open the List tab.
- Confirm that the Cycle Count’s Status is
Draft. - Click the record to open its details.
Step 2 – Open Uncounted Inventories
Section titled “Step 2 – Open Uncounted Inventories”- In the left‑hand menu, select Uncounted Inventories.
Step 3 – Remove the Erroneous Item
Section titled “Step 3 – Remove the Erroneous Item”- Find the inventory row (part) you want to remove from the audit scope.
- In that row, click the More (⋯) icon on the far right.
- Select Delete (trash‑can icon).
The item is removed from the Cycle Count scope and will not be included in the audit when it moves to Processing.
