Creating a Part in UniCMMS registers a new consumable item, spare component, or material into your master inventory database.

  1. From the main sidebar, expand Parts & Supplies.
  2. Click List to open the Parts directory.
  3. Click the black + Create button in the top‑right corner.

This opens the Create Part form.

Complete the form fields to define the identity and tracking rules for the part.

tip: Use clear, searchable names Combine the equipment type + function + key spec (e.g. Air Filter – Compressor – 10µm) so technicians can find the part quickly.

  1. Review all fields for accuracy, especially Name, Consumption Unit, and thresholds.
  2. Click Submit at the bottom‑right.

The part is now added to your master inventory. It can be:

  • Linked to Inventory records in specific facilities.
  • Consumed on Work Orders.
  • Included in Sets and used in Cycle Counts.
