Deleting a part permanently removes its master profile from UniCMMS.
To protect inventory and audit integrity, strict safeguards apply.

UniCMMS will block deletion if:

  • The part has an Available Quantity greater than zero, or
  • The part is reserved on an open Work Order.

You must bring the available stock to zero (via Work Orders, Cycle Counts, or Stock Operations) before deletion is allowed.

danger: Permanent action Once deleted, the part profile cannot be used on future Work Orders or new inventory records. Ensure the item is truly obsolete.

  1. From the main sidebar, expand Parts & Supplies.
  2. Click List.

Locate the part you wish to remove.

  1. In the row for the target part, click the More (⋯) icon in the far‑right column.
  2. From the dropdown, select Delete (highlighted in red with a trash‑can icon).

If inventory dependencies still exist, UniCMMS displays an error and blocks the action.

If no blocking dependencies are found:

  1. A confirmation prompt appears.
  2. Carefully verify the Part Name and Part Number.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

The part record is removed from the master inventory registry and no longer available for new operational use.
