Procedure Types organize SOPs, safety checklists, and maintenance instructions (for example preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, or calibration). Standardized types help teams attach the right procedure template to work orders and assets.

  1. Open Admin PortalSettingsReference Data.
  2. Find Procedure Types and click +.
  3. Complete the form:

  1. Click Submit.
  1. More (⋯)Edit.
  2. Update Name or Override Name.
  3. Click Update.
  1. More (⋯)Delete.
  2. Safeguard: Deletion is blocked while the type is linked to an active procedure or template. Remove or reassign links first.

After creating, editing, or deleting a procedure type:

  1. Confirm the Procedure Types table shows the latest values.
  2. Verify naming consistency and avoid near-duplicate categories.
  3. Open a procedure template or work order form and confirm updated type options are available.
