Procedure Types
Section titled “Procedure Types”About Procedure Types
Section titled “About Procedure Types”Procedure Types organize SOPs, safety checklists, and maintenance instructions (for example preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, or calibration). Standardized types help teams attach the right procedure template to work orders and assets.

How to manage Procedure Types
Section titled “How to manage Procedure Types”Add a new procedure type
Section titled “Add a new procedure type”- Open Admin Portal → Settings → Reference Data.
- Find Procedure Types and click +.
- Complete the form:

- Click Submit.
Update an existing procedure type
Section titled “Update an existing procedure type”- More (⋯) → Edit.
- Update Name or Override Name.
- Click Update.
Delete a procedure type
Section titled “Delete a procedure type”- More (⋯) → Delete.
- Safeguard: Deletion is blocked while the type is linked to an active procedure or template. Remove or reassign links first.
Verification after changes
Section titled “Verification after changes”After creating, editing, or deleting a procedure type:
- Confirm the Procedure Types table shows the latest values.
- Verify naming consistency and avoid near-duplicate categories.
- Open a procedure template or work order form and confirm updated type options are available.
