Warranty Types define standard warranty coverage categories for assets and parts, such as full, limited, or extended warranty. Consistent labels help maintenance and procurement teams quickly identify what costs may be recoverable from vendors.

  1. Open Admin PortalSettingsReference Data.
  2. Find Warranty Types and click +.
  3. Complete the form:

  1. Click Submit.
  1. More (⋯)Edit.
  2. Update Name or Override Name.
  3. Click Update.
  1. More (⋯)Delete.
  2. Safeguard: Deletion is blocked while the type is assigned to any asset or part. Update associations first.

After creating, editing, or deleting a warranty type:

  1. Confirm the Warranty Types table reflects your latest update.
  2. Verify naming consistency and remove duplicate coverage labels.
  3. Open an asset or part form and confirm updated warranty type options are selectable.
