Role Identification

Before you configure permissions, define the role’s identity on the role form (Admin Portal → Other → Roles).

Field	Required?	Description
Name	Yes	Unique title for the role (for example Senior Technician, Procurement Officer). This label appears in pickers when administrators assign a role to users.
Description	No	Short summary of what the role is for—helpful for admins who maintain many profiles and need to distinguish similar names.
